For those following the recent regional contretemps we have learned that corporal Gilad Shalit, the 19 year old soldier abducted by Palestinian militants, grew up at Mitzpe Hillah, a residential community just southeast of Eilon overlooking Nahal Kaziv [Qorein] and the Monfort Crusader fortress. He attended junior high school in Eilon.
